Green tea

Hey Guys & Dolls

So recently I've decided to start eating healthier and i've also started drinking green tea. Now.. I must say it is nowhere near as delicious as regular English breakfast tea, with milk and 2 sugars! But it is a healthier option.
I did try it for a couple of days on it's own but I just don't care for the taste. I'm one of those people who like to be able to taste something. When I first stared drinking it for some reason that's how I imagined nettles would taste if you made a tea out of it LOL. I'm now drinking it with a little bit of honey and some lemon juice. It does taste alot better than at first but hopefully I'll get used to it as I carry on.
"Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one." (Ancient Chinese Proverb)
Green tea is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant which: kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. It also lowers LDL cholesterol levels and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots. Researchers have found that people who were given a combination of caffeine and green tea extract burned more calories than those given only caffeine or a placebo. Green tea can even help prevent tooth decay!

Green tea is a known natural blend that helps to boost metabolism resulting as an aid to lose weight and to boost energy levels. This blend of green leaves is well known among the celebrities and many use it to aid them when trying to lose weight as well as pu-erh tea.

Basically It's REALLY good for you!

My step-mother Suzanne is also a lover of green tea. She was the one who suggested that I should try it with lemon juice. So a big thank you to her! She also prefers to drink regular tea without milk now after being used to drinking green tea.

I love tea & like most British people I've had it around me all of my life. I'm always offered cuppa after cuppa at my grandparents house. I don't know how they manage to drink so much tea! But why not give it try and let me know what you think?

I'm actually starting to get into the habit of drinking it with lemon & honey,as well as a healthier diet.
